Waterproof Connector for 10mm Flat Twin & Earth Cable

I’d looked, but couldn’t see anything twin-entry for larger cables at the usual places. Best solution would be to chop the cable inside, new junction box and re-cable the rest of the run, but I need a quicker solution for now.

Surely from what the OP has said - not outside, just a few drips - self amalgamating tape or adhesive heat-shrink (or both) would be adequate.

Can you find one for 10mm² conductors that suits twin and earth?

If the cable cannot be replaced, the joint made elsewhere, how about......

Make the joints with crimps, make some sort of temporary case around the joint, sealed at the base, and mix up some two part resin, to entirely fill the case?

Used a Hylec IP68 mini-connector from Screwfix - not cheap at £11, but did the job (and the glands fit pretty well on the flat cable).

I am the OP, and it is good. Sealed nicely with the larger glands:

Interesting. The spec on that one also says max conductor size 4mm. I'm interested how you got a 10mm conductor in there.

@RealPolitik how did you do it? Or maybe and (not for the first time) maybe the description is wrong.

Conductor size is the cross section of the actual copper bit - when I said 10mm I meant the diameter/width of the three cores plus insulation.
