I recently moved into a bungalow, where the majority of the house has cavity walls. However, there is an extended room at the back of the house which was built with a single skin of brick.
There's damp issues here and I'm wondering how best to address it, as well as possibly improving the thermal quality of the building.
I think building a cavity wall would be too expensive, but I'd seen a neighbour who got external insulation, which was roughcast over afterwards. Would this be the best solution for me or are there other options to look at?
