Weight of asbestos roof.....

.....Hi there,

Can anyone give me a ball-park figure for the weight of corrugated asbestos roofing?

I've been quoted a figure to remove and dispose of my (average sized) garage's asbestos roof, but it's quoted "per ton". I've done a quick search to see if I can get an idea of corrugated asbestos' density but no luck so far.

Any input is gratefully received,

yours will weigh about half a tonne at most.

an asbestos skip here come with a minimum 2 ton charge.
