Well done wind

So waste less, and procreate less. A lot simpler and cheaper.
It's you green nutters who are mining the Earth to death to get resources for your absurd electric car batteries, and polluting the planet for millenia when they're disposed of after a few years.

And why do we never hear you talk about the billions of tons of plastic and garbage pollution that suffocates the planet? You ignore that and obsess over CO2, a gas essential to all life.

Where do you suggest?
If you think the Earth is going to be uninhabitable and under-resourced, you're going to have to find something that isn't.
Gee, Einstein, you think? Let me know your plans for doing that with windmill power.

Let me know too your plans to avert what all scientists agree is coming at some point - an asteroid strike. It could be next week, it could be a million years from now, but it's almost certain to occur and when it does, unless it's physically prevented, that's humanity done. Maybe we could knock up some bellows powered by a dozen windmills and hope we can blow the asteroid off course. Or maybe use a solar panel to dazzle it so it gets confused and wanders off.

Handily ignoring gas, oil, coal etc

Oil again
You ignore that and obsess over CO2, a gas essential to all life.
Within limits. Want much in your lungs ?

Fossil fuel use has been polluting the world for centuries

And why do we never hear you talk about the billions of tons of plastic and garbage pollution that suffocates the planet? You ignore that and obsess over CO2, a gas essential to all life

Because we're talking about wind, (and fusion) power.

And don't presume what i do and don't care about.
.

Strawman.
Yes there are also straw burning power stations too. More CO2 - bigger yields = more straw to burn = more renewable energy another climate warming bonus

Point to one single post I've made advocating for fossil fuels and I'll address that.

My response was to add balance to this:

It's you green nutters who are mining the Earth to death to get resources for your absurd electric car batteries, and polluting the planet for millenia when they're disposed of after a few years.

We also need to look further down the line. What we know for a fact is that resources on Earth will soon be insufficient to support the population, and we'll need to colonise space.
Nonsense. 'Colonising' space won't give resources, mining space might. The idea you'd shift any appreciable fraction of humanity off earth is bad science fiction territory.

And yes, solar panels are brilliant in space. Loads more power that way.

Mining space, eh. Google's working hard for you today. Give a rundown on how we can 'mine space' using windmills and solar panels.

Oh yes, loads of power. We'd only need to cover an area around the size of a billion football pitches to equal the theoretical output of a small fusion reactor. (OK, we couldn't use 99.9% of it, but still, it's greeeeeeeeen!)

Colonising space eh? Gumption seems to have given you a wide birth today. Give a rundown in how we 'colonise space'.

Take your time...

Round and round we go. Why people can't just read a few posts is beyond me.
