Why would we need solar panels if we have fusion energy?
You and I will be dead long before the world develops practical fusion power, let alone makes it service the plebs.
"Fusion power is 50 years away. And always will be."

Why would we need solar panels if we have fusion energy?
It was a joke, I believe.
About 20 years ago, I saw an article in new scientist, where groups of eminent scientists in a number of fields were asked on their predictions for when certain scientific advances would likely occur.
Consensus was that cancer would be managed or cured by 2018.
Viable fusion power by 2045.
However, as one cynical scientist quipped, "Fusion power is 50 years away. And always will be."

Ask your carer to summarise it for you, after your 'bathroom break'.Don't try to appear intelligent.
You can't carry it off.
No, it was a reference to our Sun.
No, i suspect you just made that up.Because I looked it up, perhaps?
Since you're incapable of doing even basic research, I guess you'll have to keep on suspecting. No, i suspect you just made that up.

Yeah, you're making stuff up.Since you're incapable of doing even basic research, I guess you'll have to keep on suspecting.
£1.4 Billion passed away on Fusion power dreams instead of investing in something that can be produced this century.Andrew Bowie, minister of nuclear and networks, announced the support package at the start of the 2023 IAEA Fusion Energy Conference. It takes the UK’s total investment to more than £1.4bn since 2021, with the government noting in its updated Fusion Strategy that it will have invested more than £700m from 2021/2022 to 2024/2025 to support UKAEA research and facilities, and last year invested £126m to boost UK fusion programmes.
As I thought, you don't understand the difference between spend and committed spend.Yeah, you're making stuff up.

That's for two years numskullAs I thought, you don't understand the difference between spend and committed spend.
And even if this were already spent, your IT superskills might tell you that 2bn - 1.4bn = 0.6bn, which you need to find to equal my figure, let alone disprove it.
That's £26m per year
You clearly can't understand your own quote. That's for two years numskull
Why are you pretending you know anything about it? You're fooling noone. So yes, wind power is great, Fusion power is a fantasy and a distraction from real world power choices.
