What can I do with this gap?

Hi all,

I've been putting up architrave in our 1970's house. I took the old architrave off a few years ago but due to illness have only just been able to put new stuff up. All of the door frames are out of true, but I had no idea this gap was going to be so bad!

We've two doors at right angles to each other. The door on the left I've put the architrave up, but on the righthand door I've done nothing yet as I just can't work out how to hide the gap. At the top of the frame it's 35mm out, but at the bottom it's 25mm out. There aren't enough face-palms in the known universe!

As its been a few years I can't remember what was there when I took it down, but possibly some kind of beading.

Can anyone suggest a way for me to make this work? It doesn't have to be good, just good enough!

Thanks in advance!

Wider architrave. Id use chamfered skirting.

You can use skirting up the side cut to width then you will need architrave on the top

Thanks for your reply Wayners.

Is this what you mean? Just trim it to fit?
