They might have had something to do with the machining in the early days. It does ring a bell, but it was 8 or 9 years since i went to the OLD factory.

IGNL is right on the German border so it was a strange love hate thing they have with the Germans because of the war. Pretty bleak place it was too. Now Amsterdam - that was some tour .

Haven't heard anything lately but by coincidence I found out the alkalyne detergent sold with the radial HX cleaning kit (£100!!) is available in individual bottles at I think £7 a bottle.

I tried some on a Valmex exchanger and it did the job even thought he dedicated Valmex detergent is supposed to be stronger. I didn't spray I just poured some over the oxides which dissolved. I'd spray if I was paying for it.

Let it fiz, wait 10 minutes, go again, wash through with plenty of water.

I gave some to an installer who is trying it out on those he's fitted 4 years ago and wait to hear back from him.

I'll look out the part number tomorrow.
