Churchill was a complex character full of contradictions and in some cases extreme views.

You could be talking about John D.

Churchill was a bricklayer oh and painter.

Im not how he managed either as he was always drunk

Granted...but not a genocidal murderer up there with Hitler as Razzledazzle would have us believe.
Fortunately for Churchill, if Germany had won the war, Churchill would be seen as the murderous villain.
His discriminatory actions, and his racist comments guarantee that he would be a social pariah.
He is seen in that light by many post colonial, post Empire people.

When you think about it, his only redeeming feature was to lead the UK, alongside USA, to victory in WW2.

The Russians won the war.
Churchill and the Yanks refused to contemplate a D day type invasion of France until the Russians had forced the Germans into retreat.

It's as well for Brits to be aware of the nation's colonial past.

Unfortunately we are saddled with a half-wit Prime Minister who shows no respect for foreigners and makes an arse of himself, seemingly with the intention of damaging our reputation abroad.

The idiot used to head our Diplomatic service.

Our Diplomatic service.

"Foreign secretary Boris Johnson has made another gaffe and this time it was in a Burmese temple. The Conservative was caught on camera reciting a colonial Rudyard Kipling poem before he was quickly stopped by Andrew Patrick, the British ambassador to the country.

This could be seen as offensive because Britain colonised the country for more than a century.

Mr Patrick knew this so quickly stopped Mr Johnson in his tracks, telling him ‘You’re on mic. Probably not a good idea’ The Unxbridge MP replied: ‘What, The Road to Mandalay?’ And the ambassador then said: ‘No. Not appropriate.’ Before he was stopped Mr Johnson was about to utter the line ‘Bloomin’ idol made o’ mud / Wot they called the Great Gawd Budd’ – a reference to Buddha.
