What do I stand on, step ladder won't fit?

Hi All,

I need to paint our upstairs toilet room which is tiny. My stepladder won't fit as the toilet is in the way when the steps are open (A frame stepladder). I'd rather not stand on the toilet seat as I'm not exactly the lightest person. What do the pro's do in these circumstances? I've attached a pic. The toilet room is 80cms wide.

A stool? I need to decorate the window so need to get as close to it as possible.

Lift toilet seat and place a sturdy sheet of timber over it .
