Hi all, I pass a two storey block of maisonettes on my walk into town.
Can't help wondering the reason for this heavy duty nylon rope hanging from a hole just below the DPC. It's been there for a couple of years and it intrigues me. IMG_20190821_131543102.jpg

might be a drawstring for pulling cables

    Looks an unusually tight fit.

Drawstring would be smaller I would expect..

Maybe to tie a horse to?

Obviously drilled from inside to outside, judging by the damage.

It's a rope swing for a really really really small person with disproportionately big hands

I'm really tempted to give it a tug and see what happens, however, I can imagine the block collapsing and then out pops a camera crew and I'm on "You've been framed"
