What have you been doing today?

although I won’t use Tesco own brand “reduced fat puff pastry” next time as it doesn’t puff up as well as it should! In hindsight it’s a bit pointless having reduced fat puff pastry as it’s the presence OF the fat that makes it puff up!
I remember seeing how puff pastry was made. A layer of fat then a layer of dough. Roll it out, cut in half, put one half on top of the other so you have fat, dough, fat, dough. Roll it out. Cut, Repeat until you have many layers of fat and dough. I too can’t see how 'reduced fat' will work.

Yeah you’re right there. Oh well, we live and learn don’t we?

I put my deceased partner's mobility scooter, on both ebay and FB Market last week, and got a local offer to buy it, and collect it today, and now it's gone - freeing up space in the garden hut, and a providing contribution towards the cost of the new Veleco I bought. The old one was more or less new, mechanically, I started making some use of it, found it a great help, so thought to buy something a bit faster, and more able.

Keeping busy. Went for a walk with a friend and their dogs today - the friend that bred Susie. Came home and gave to Golf a bloody good cleaning inside and out. Cut the grass. Broke down Susie’s car crate and stored it away - wondering if we'll ever use it again. Finally, gave all Susie’s toys a good wash and hung them on the line. All will be going, along with her bed, left over food, blankets and medicines to a dog charity. This is the first day I haven’t shed a tear for her - and I’m feeling guilty because I haven’t! Our friend said Susie had a good life and a good death. I suppose she's right about that.

Sorry for your loss Mottie.

I have appealed on the grounds of a badly lit and confusing sign. Hopefully the screenshot of my app getting me past the (what I thought) 7pm deadline will count. I’ll update this when I get a decision.
Well that was a waste of time. Appeal dismissed. £60 instead of £30 because they dragged it out past the time to get a discount rate by paying early. Those that run this borough are proper money-grabbing ****s.

Busy day today. Food shopping in Lidl then Sainsburys, cleaned the A3, sorted out the garage, went over the allotment, sowed some multi coloured carrots, watered everything and I’ve still got to go round my sisters to give her some Easter eggs for her grandkids. Sorted out my suit as we're going to our nieces wedding tomorrow in Clacton of all places and we are staying over at the venue. St Osyths priory, a bit of a posh do apparently. We were going to take the A3 but now taking the Golf as we first have to go to the care home for Mrs Mottie to dress her mum as she's coming to the wedding. Then off to pick up our nieces Nan in Wickford and we've got to get them two into the car so the A3 would be a bit cramped and a bit of a hard ride for them. Oh, and apart from our overnight stuff and wedding clothes we've somehow got to get the nieces nan's walker in the boot too. Apparently it’s a big lump. At least we don't have to take them home - they are being collected by cab around 8.00 and taken home as they both drop off to sleep around 9.00! Gonna be a tiring day I think.

An aunty had a caravan in St Osyths and I regularly spent childhood holidays there, and Bognor where she had another caravan, although she might not have owned them concurrently.

My Nan and grandad had a brick built chalet in St Osyth too. On the Bel Air site.

Been to the site we are trying out camping today, they let us set up our tents ready for the weekend, 6 of us bought the same tents, we set them up, 15 mins according to the shop, 4 hours later only just got the thing up. We all struggled as none of us have been camping like this before. Hopefully they stay up but if not who cares we have crates of beer to keep us warm
