I never get or ask the MOT tester for advice, just do your pre set tests and give me the ticket. You are not a consultant.

You don't understand what responsibility ANY mechanic has to sign up to.

Would mottie have advised any of his customers to do that to a tyre if they had brought it into him?

I stop people dicing with danger every day.

It's quite simple really. Any of you, find any tyre professional or manufacturer that will tell you that that is an acceptable action to take on the tyre.

Any manufacturer will do, it doesn't have to be the 1 that made motties tyre

100%. its not bad dont get me wrong but we have loads of MOT. testers in our workshops who are on a lot less than we are.
