What have you been doing today?

We had 2 cats now sadly down to 1 after a recent bereavement. Anyway, we got one of those cat flaps over a year ago and the one who died got used to it fairly quickly, the other one will have nothing to do with it. She'll go out through it, but not in because the clicking sound of it unlocking freaks her out.
Just yesterday mrs filly tried 'introducing' her to it again and the cat went doolally.
I asked her how quickly they got used to using it and she said they kept putting them outside and tempting them in with a piece of chicken.

Mrs Mottie wanted to change one of the garden beds so I’ve had to take up a line of driveway blocks I put down 30 odd years ago. 30 odd years ago, I was relatively naive in building matters. To 'support' the single line of blocks, I dug a trench, laid some decent footings and reinforced that with some rebar. On top of that, I laid the blocks on a 2” bed of cement. Job done. What a fecking job I had to get them up today. I had to individually get each block up with a lump hammer. When that was done I had to smash through the footings to be able to cut the rebar to get it up in sections. I then ran it all to the dump and that was a job in itself as I had to carry it all up some steps to get it in the rubble container. I am aching like a b'stard now! Still, all cleared away now and we’ve just got to get some new edging to make the bed bigger. That is just going to be pushed into the lawn - no more footings!

I would've told the wife that it was not possible and cracked a beer open...
