That's what I used to do! I do miss the exhilarating rides on the bike, I'm just too old and creaky to handle one now.
Been on the phone complaining to an ISA provider that fecked up with my isa transfer. Basically filled in a transfer form with the new provider to go through on maturity, old provider moved it into an instant access account on the day of maturity, new provider asked for the money from the old account but of course, there was nothing in the account as they’d moved it! Offered me an apology and £25 compo and I told them where to put it. Made a formal complaint so now I have to go through the whole transfer process again. Have a suspicion the new provider is going to feck up too. Told me to print out and send in ISA form but gave old isa details in the application and email confirmation said to do nothing and they will arrange transfer online. Phoned up for confirmation and they said no need to fill in form. I just know it’s going to go wrong…. 
We've been in the garden, all morning, painting, drilling, modifying the lounger thingummy, to make it higher, until it got too hot out there. Came in and I'd missed a call from hospital, three hour before. I was just about to attempt to ring them back, when they rang me...
They were making the final arrangements for the catheter install op, on the 8th May, what meds to adjust before the op, etc... I asked if they had been made aware of these 'episodes' I suffer, and they were not. So then I had to try to explain the 'episodes', and their weird effects upon me. She noted my explanation down, and is passing it to the anaesthetist - it might put the op on hold. The kidney department, think the cause of the episodes might be due to my failing kidneys, so they want me to have the op ASAP, but other doctors are simply puzzled by the cause. Heart specialist, have not so far been able to spot anything at all, but they continue to investigate. Yep, the weird episodes are back!

They put me a kidney stent in, inserted via my groin a few years go, under a local, the weirdest sensation ever, as the probe passed up my body. Then in the midst, of the OP, I suffered something odd, where they had to pause the op, whilst I recovered.

Your never too old for biking Harry, a lot who ride bikes are into their 70s and beyond, for those who get injured or literally struggle with a bike get trikes.

I did think about it, when I sold the Viffer, but its storage space is now occupied by my mobility scooter. Besides, it occupies me enough already, looking after the house, car, caravan, scooter, and tractor.
Just reading through old posts. A picture of my old Susie and young pup Pippa. If everything works out, we will be taking on one of Pippa's puppies in 2 months time.
Looks like it’s going through online now, had confirmation from both parties. Just had a phone call from old provider and they gave another apology and upped the compo to £60 which I accepted and closed the complaint. Asked them to add it to my balance before transfer but they said they couldn’t so are sending it to me separately. Every time I’ve made a complaint with a bank or building society, they always offer compensation straight away to resolve the complaint. I watch two or three YT'ers who review bikes and they've reviewed some scooters and have been more than pleasantly surprised by them. Suitable for all ages but one of the points they make is ideal for those knocking on in years who still want the sensation of being out on the bike. When you then read the comments it appears to back this up, with quite a few older riders saying they've made the change to whatever scooter and they love it.
I loved my big boys scooter. A Burgman 650 Executive. Did several European trips on it before trading up to an FJR1300. Very comfortable as well as fast. I hit a true 101mph on it once. Here I am in Monaco with it.

Legs on the lounger thingummies extended, to make the height more acceptable, today's task was to just finish that job off, paint them, and the tractors rusty bonnet. In fact both were rusty, and painted earlier, with a coat of phosphoric acid, to kill the rust. We extended the legs, with bits of steel tube slide up the legs, then bolted, with a second slightly larger diameter carbon fibre tube, slide over the top, simply fixed in place with hot melt glue. The lounger thingummy, had been so low, as a temporary fix, we had devised some timber blocks to increase the height.

Mate of mine has a burgman, he loves it and goes all over on it, he did the NC500 with us and kept up with us all too.
