What have you been doing today?

Made a start on cutting back all the overhanging trees and bushes on the patch of council land down our road that a few of us have adopted. It’s cutting out a lot of light and rain water to the bed we look after. Spent a couple of hours over there today clearing a space above the postbox. I filled one green bin and my Ford Fiesta! Going by what I achieved in this session, there’s at least another 20 or more sessions needed! It’s all coming from the garden of a disabled lady and it’s years of bushes, ivy and wisteria, some of it 4” thick. Believe it or not, there’s a wood panelled fence behind that lot somewhere and I intend to expose it.

Ive found that the a particular tap that starts the noise can just be a trigger.

It can be various taps or flushing of chains

Noise is back after the first flush of the day. Turned off the internal stopcock, flushed both toilets so they are empty. All it does is change the pitch of the noise. Still got the noise. Gotta be the street stopcock surely?

Fill valves in toilet cisterns. Replace both, cheap as chips.

It could be a filling valve or a mixer tap. More likely the filling valve. If they have an iso valve try each in turn

Any ideas on parking sensors not working on a Peugeot Boxer?, I'm pulling me hair out.

They usually get wet at the sensor end and need to be replaced.

Done the sensors, did a continuity test on the final part of the loom and tried a 2nd hand control unit. At some stage it had a tail lift fitted which has been removed and I think that could be a part of the problem.

My next step, just ordered a complete set of sensors, wiring and control unit and will wire in to a different source, Temu special, 24 quid, what could possibly go wrong?

I remember killing a sensor on my mondeo St tdci. That’s the car I miss the most. And I’ve had a lot of cars.

Wiring issues are a real test!!
