Just had a call from Hyundai themselves and they have offered a 26 plate Kona. Told them I wasn’t happy but they said they can't guarantee a like for like loaner but are going to see if they can find something better tomorrow. I suppose I could live with a Kona for a bit but the dealer has just phoned and said they now have authorisation for the replacement seat, there is one in the country and it shouldn’t be more than a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks to fit a seat!

Just had a call from them. They have located a 25 plate Tuscon for me but it’s in Medway, Kent. They said when I take the Bayon back to Basildon on Monday, they will arrange and pay for a cab to pick me up from there and take me over the water to collect the new one plus arrange for the reverse when I return it. Nah, sod that, I said I’ll take the Kona so picking that up on Monday. Feck knows how long they’ll take to fix it though.
