What have you been doing today?

Bloody kitchen extractor hood has gone wrong. Fitted it in May '24. Light won’t turn in and getting hard to turn on/off. Touch panel operated. Sent an email to the company I bought it from this morning, wasn’t really expecting an answer till next week but I’ve already had an email telling me to fill in their online repair form and they will get an engineer out to fix it under warranty. If that comes off, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Their engineer phoned me first thing this morning. Said it sounds like the touchpad is playing up and he'll be here on Thursday to fix it. Unbelievable service in this day and age. Mind you, it ain’t done yet…..
Been and done it, took less than 10 minutes. Touchpad had come away at the back of the panel. Just a simple adjustment. I’m pleasantly surprised. Actually, I’m very f*cking happy!

Changing all my switches to black, bloody screws weren't long enough.

Been for a blood test today for my liver and kidneys. Lena always comes with me to the Drs, she had a meeting so I went on my own. Felt really proud of myself.

Been to the pub, ...My local pub announced a £100 prize for the best Halloween outfit. My wife only went and won it...She wasn't too happy though. She'd only come to pick me up!
OMG that is awful. I suppose the £100 will come in handy for you though. That's xmas sorted for you.

I tell ya, having a pup is like having a baby. Up again at 5.00 for the 5 o’clock poop. I can’t go back to sleep at this time but she can! Kids eh!

When we walk our dogs, we often find other things that people have dropped - the odd children’s shoe, glasses, leads and collars, whistles, hats, scarves and gloves etc. We leave them on the fence in the car park. Other dog walkers do the same. Earlier this week we found a new Ugg fur mitten. As usual, we left it on the fence. This morning, for the first time ever, we had confirmation that the owner had got it back. They had taken the time to photograph it, print it out, write 'Thank you', put it in a plastic cover and leave the note where we left the mitten.
