• Looking for a smarter way to manage your heating this winter? We’ve been testing the new Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600 to see how quiet, accurate and easy it is to use around the home. Click here read our review.

What have you bought today?

I have just seen an advert popup on here for something called a "warming drawer". It seems to do the same job as a Hostess trolley, but it is built into your kitchen. Many in our family still use Hostess trolleys for big gatherings.

We considered getting one when we we buying a kitchen at Magnet. The salesman told us "waste of space for the use you’ll get from it" so we did without.

We have a 'Von Chef' that we use to keep vegetables warm that probably only comes out at Christmas when we have everyone round.

Plates go in the bottom of the oven for 5 mins if they need warming.

I couldn’t resist. £3.99.

Lidl sliders. £3.99. Sock were £12 for 3 pairs. I thought about getting them the other week but today I took the plunge, much to Mrs Motties disgust. She says I’m only to wear them in the house and garden. I might go out shopping in them tomorrow. :ROFLMAO:

2 tickets for the Radio 2 in the Park at Hylands park, Chelmsford.

Then realised I had bought general standing tickets. Applied for a refund, fook knows when I’ll get that.

Then bought another 2 tickets for the Radio 2 in the park at Hylands park, Chelmsford - 'bring your own chair' tickets! Sod standing up all day!
Got my refund less a £10 handling fee so no big deal.

The chairs that you can bring have strict size guides and if they are over, you won’t be allowed to bring them in. Our current fold-up chairs are outside those dimensions and as we will be sitting for a while, I didn’t want to get a couple of those really cheap jobs so I bought a couple of comfy, padded, fold-up chairs up to almost the maximum size allowed. Were £63 each, £30 off in a sale, 15% coupon discount and free delivery so I ordered two delivered for £51.

A clay pigeon shooting session for myself, my son and my son in law for when we go to Center Parcs in September.

Just bought a Roberts RD27, like new, £20 from a local charity store. I didn't need one, but it was such an irresistable bargain, it would have been rude to ignore.

Or a skip :censored:
Yeah, it’s now even handier to store stuff up there. A big clear out is needed, a lot of it is our daughters and that’s been there for about 5 years. She lived in a flat, now moved into a house with a big loft. We told her to come and get it and she said, "Oh, I haven’t missed any of it, just chuck it!". Kids, eh?

Must be a new thing as I've not heard them shooting at Elevden.
I did it through centre Parcs in Nottingham over 35 years ago - some bloke came and picked us up in a Landrover and took us way into some fields. I think they only do laser shooting at CP nowdays, I don’t fancy that. The place I’ve booked is not connected with CP but is only15 mins away from Elvedon where we are staying. This place: I’ve done it before a few times but my son and son in law never have so I’m hoping I can beat them! :ROFLMAO: Instruction, gun, tuition, 25 shells, 25 clays, £50 pp.
