Blimey, things are grim up north Essex.

Wot no bins?
Never had have. Black bags for general rubbish, orange ones for recycling. Oh, we have wheely bins for garden waste. £60 a year for them!

That's crazy. I have 3 brown bins (can only put out 2 at a time), black bin, green box for bottles and cans, plus the bags for paper, cardboard and plastic.

Going to update the numbers on my bins, in case any people come pillaging from the north!

We have 2 green bins, one brown one for cans, bottles, jars aluminium foil etc, one blue for paper and card and a black one for non-recyclable.

We pay £2618.48 for Council Tax, Band E.

Don't pay any extra for wheely bins. You get one free one if one goes missing then you pay for replacements.

If you live on an estate popular with families and a precedent has been set, everyone will want one.

why do people put their bins out in the morning? Somebody else mentioned getting up for bins earlier today.
On our street, most people put them out the night before.
Because the council do not want them put out before, they are not insured for bins being there, same as they want them removed the same day.
Ours have to be there by 7am, collection times vary after then.

Or more likely - because they forgot.

Although we still put them out the day before :)

biggest issue facing my street is the fool who wears a face mask to water the garden.

Building work and the noise and mess that goes with it. People buy a house, and first thing they do is have a loft conversion done. Seems it's been non stop for the last 3 years.
one of the easiest ways to add value. slightly envious maybe?.

Round here people don't take them until the morning - on a narrow path with no street lights so it's easy to walk into them.

Some helpful chappie pushes them off the kerb and into the road between the numerous cars - does seem to make people move their bins a bit quicker.
