I had an Intergas Combi Compact boiler fitted a few weeks ago.

Since then, on two occasions a very loud, vibrating type sound that you can hear all over the house has come from the boiler.

We switch it off at the wall and back on again and its fine.

There aren't any other problems and it seems to all be working fine so is this anything to worry about before I go and spend money on calling out the heating engineer!

The boiler is under warranty phone the installer or Intergas, if they try to charge you tell them to take one.

Did the nstaller check the combustion with a gas analyser and did he complete the Benchmark Certificate in the back of the book?

Unlikely to be the boiler as they are factory tested before sent out to supplier, probably somthing the installer has missed.

Yes he did complete the benchmark certificate. Should I be worried or not? We have always had vibrating pipes so could it just be that?

most likely one of two things

if you have TRVs fitted to most of your rads you could be getting valve chatter. the TRVs vibrating

the other one is the gas valve setting is out.
