Come on then. You’re the copper, he’s refused to comply, he’s been tasered, he resists arrest and goes to his car, he doesn’t jump in, he bends over to get something from the floor, you can’t see what because you’re behind him. What would you do at that point. Be quick, you have less than a second to make a decision.....
they’d soil their little pink panties. all mouth.

Cudgel to the bonce?
Gotta be some middle ground betwixt politely asking him to yield and seven bullets in the back, surely?

What would our lads do?

De-escalation says you back off, rather than chase him around the car like a scene from the three Stooges. This is unquestionably a cockup, the question that the FBI will be trying to answer is was it bad luck, incompetence or criminal.
De-escalation could make matters worse, if the police back off, the suspect could have a weapon in the car or he could use the car to try to escape, they are all sorts of scenarios that could play out.
The police have to make split second decisions, sometimes they get it wrong.
The suspect was black, he must know what can happen to black people who resist arrest, the best option in this type of situation is to offer no resistence.
Then again the way the police approached the suspect could have made him panic.

Was he resisting arrest?

But at least you acknowledge the unfair treatment black people get at the hands of the police!

You know that to be true, because...?

And 'believed' he 'may be' armed with a knife?

An awful lot of supposition there which doesn't exactly justify 7 bullets in the back does it!

According to first report from the DoJ, Blake himself told police he had a knife.

It great to know that Brig has already gathered and tested all the evidence, and reached the verdict.

No need for pesky courts and trials when a black man is shot by an American cop.

Nothing could go wrong at Hillsborough, either.
