What is WED date on salamander pump?

Came across a salamander pump today.
On the plate was model number and date - WED: 11/09/12.
The customer had been in the property since June 2012. And had not installed pump it was previous owners.
Anyone know what the WED date is?

Most likely the Warranty Expiry Date.
