What SIZE? lost head nails for floorboards

I am laying some victorian floorboards onto the joists updstairs, and plan to use lost head nails.

Quick question - what length nails would be appropriate?

If they are old boards you will split them less by using ovals or get the correct look by using flooring brads in either case 2 1/2" (65mm)
