Yep. Anyone elses' parents give them a hard time about not finishing a plate of food 'that'd feed a Biafran for a week'.

One thing that stuck with me was all the news of the Greenham Common protests. It seems it was on the news loads at the time, but I had no idea what was going on - I was about 7. It was the first time I saw protests on TV, including the police dragging people around for singing songs.

And SS Canberra going off to the Falklands in 1982 - I'd holidayed on the ship a few years previously and was concerned it'd get sunk!
