Be honest, would we all do the same? i once found an enormous Barge tea pot, at the back of an old bricked up fireplace, worth a few hundred, and the owner told me to keep it, what valuable/unusual items have you found hidden during work?

I’ve got a few bits from renovating out Victorian house. My favourite is an empty No6 packet. I used to love smoking those.

Another time I was rewiring an old farmhouse owned by retired teachers, Had to move a wardrobe and discovered a sheaf of A4 paper with pics of said couple enjoying the company of a young Harry potter lookalike in Travelodge, there was also VHS tape

I found an old black and white news paper cutting under some floorboards that I’d taken up to extend the ring main. Then I realised I’d put the cutting there decades ago when the house was first rewired. A reminder of the passage of time.
