Where is the stopcock for the main water supply?

Hi everyone
I am living in an apartment in Salford and want to shut off the main water suppy for some DIY repair.

Found a brass stopcock in the utility cupboard. It's fit on a pipe connecting to an Oso water heater. Looks like it is intended as an isolation valve for the heater only.

Apart from that, the only things I spot are a pair of small-calibre flexible hoses with metal connector and nuts underneath the kitchen sink. Guess they are there to serve hot and cold water supply to the kitchen faucet. Correct me if I am wrong.

Could anyone confirm that the brass stopcock near the water heater is actually the one that controls the main water supply to the apartment?
Or should I look elsewhere to locate it?

Thanks a lot
Paul

The left diagram shows the brass stopcock opposite to the Oso water heater.
The one on the right shows the two flexi hoses with metal connectors underneath the kitchen sinks.

Hard to tell if it’s the incoming main or just for the unvented cylinder. If you turn it off, run the cold outlets, if you don’t get any water or a dribble and it stops, this would then confirm.

try asking a neighbour where theirs is.
Have you got a utility cupboard for the whole building? It may be in there.

If there is only 1 then it may server the whole building and you will need to let everyone else know when the water will be turned off and then again when you turn it on again.
If you can identify where the water pipe comes into your apartment I'd stick a new stopcock on it there while the water is off.

Thank you all for the replies. I tested it out and am pleased to see that the stopcock facing the heater turns out to control the water mains throughout the apartment.

Managed to map out the inlet pipes to the heater by cross-referencing the product manual. The pipings straddled by the stopcock are referred to as "Cold water main supply inlet (CW In)" according to the manual. Looks like the mains go through the heater before reaching the taps and toilets all over.
