Ok I've been after one of these for a while now and seen two from different suppliers with slight differences in features (hammer action), but most other features are identical - 2.0ah batteries 18V. I have an old corded hammer B&D drill which still serves me well but wanted the portabality of a cordless. I know that an SDS drill would come in handy at some point too but for now I need a cordless. Both tools are £140.

I'll be using for general DIY home use. My budget was meant to be around £120 max but the chance of getting an 18V Dewalt with batteries higher than 1.3ah persuaded me to up my budget a little. :)

Can you please help me decide, and if there is a better alternative out there please let me know.

get yourself down b&q or screwfix and pay 99 quid for a dewalt or makita combi. both the drills you have chosen are very old models, which does not make them bad, but there is better out there.

combi also offers greater versatility.
