Which oven

Thanks.

Looks like the cable is the size between a standard socket cable and a 10mm cable so hopefully that caters for a 7.4 KW hob.

Measure accurately, the width of the grey cable, from that someone will be able to tell you the cable size and rating. Calipers will work best for the measurement.

The last range cooker I installed required a 10mm feed from a 45A CPD. Manufacturer’s specifications:p

Another example of manufacturers instructions being wrong.

Here's another:

We don’t use “hopefully” when being involved with electricity.
On your fuse board/consumer unit. How many amps is the breaker or fuse that protects the “cooker” circuit?

The board hasn't gone in yet.

Have measured the cables.

Got a 6mm cable for hob and a 6mm for the microwave/combination oven. Then a 5mm cable for the normal oven.

There’s no such thing as a 5mm cable.

How have you measured the cables??
Conductors are sized as the cross sectional area of the Line and neutral conductors. So the standard conductor sizes are 1mm², 1.5mm², 2.5mm², 4mm², 6mm², 10mm², etc.

Ask your electrician what has been first fixed and what size protective device he/she has designed for you.

Will do. Yeah sorry it's a 4mm but 6mm for the hob.

So i picked my ovens and hob and first fix is done for these.
The advice here has been to install for reasonably foreseeable requirements. It's very common to install a 6mm² cable protected by a 32A curve B MCB - though the installer would need to check that given all the factors that can affect it in any installation, that combination is OK. That allows as much as you are likely to ever want in a normal domestic kitchen.
The hob I picked was a 32 amp 3 KW pluggable induction hob.
That would be "up to 32A" OR "pluggable". Because induction hobs are all driven by electronics, it's easy to limit power drawn from the supply according to programming. So it can be programmed to only use 13A if you plug it in, or up to 32A when hardwired to such a supply, or various levels in between. AIUI, in many countries it's common to have much more limited supplies, so it makes it easy for the manufacturer to make one model for all markets.
The missus might want to up the size from 60cm to 80cm so was wondering would the cable for the original hob work with the new one
The new one is 32 amps, 7.4kw needs hard wiring.
If the supply is from a 32A MCB (using any cable suitable for that) then you'll be OK.
There's a specific formula for calculating the diversity factor for cooking appliances - the result is likely to be a lot lower than you might expect.

As an aside, get your sparky to fit either a dual-accessory box, or perhaps a couple of single boxes. Then fit a single socket and a double cooker connection unit - the latter makes it a lot easier connecting two high-power devices while the socket makes it easy to plug in a low power devices (such as the ignition for a gas hob). Note that many (most ? all ?) fitters seem to just wire the ignition for a gas hob to the 32A circuit - ignoring manufacturers' instructions and the wiring regs.
