I want to change a couple of my twin Crabtree sockets to twin sockets with USB connectors. Are there any makes that are better than others? Any makes to avoid?

Thanks. Just looking at both Hager and Crabtree and they both need 35mm back boxes. Not sure what I have so I’ll check first before ordering - don’t really want to use a spacer. Was hoping for a hassle free swap over.

Whatever one you get make sure the USB sockets are not obscured by a cable from a 13A plug or wall wart, i.e. immediately above or below the 13A socket.

Just lately the terminals have snapped inside - not that I ever used much of it.

Also experienced the USB port having a prolapse.

Their grid switches fail after a short time in my experience. Not my choice to fit them.
