I have a lounge, 18' by 11'. The powers that be have decided to have a wooden floor. The floor is currently chipboard on top of celotex then DPC then concrete. The "wood" will go ontop of the chipboard.
Options I have are:
1. MDF laminate, not convinced of the quality or longenvity.
2. Old pine fllorboards. butted not T and G. A friend bought some for £14 per square metre.
3. Robust vinyl, had my hair cut and the barber said that's wht he had done because of the water he avoided MDF laminate.

Any suggestions welcome

4: Wood-Veneer? 0.6mm Solid top layer in various wood-types, total thickness 8mm + Uniclic glueless locking system. Product we're doing comes with 20 years manufacturers guarantee for domestic and light commercial use. Price between better melamine and standard Wood-Engineered boards.
