If its the flushing handle of a toilet cistern, then the tiler, should have, the nouse to have removed the handle first, plotted exactly where the hole needed to be, then drilled covering tile in exactly the right place.

The flushing handle, has a range of adjustments that would accommodate the tile thickness, its just shoddy workmanship, on behalf of a halfwitted so called tradesman.

Apart from the crap workmanship, how will anyone service the cistern if there is a problem?
