nothing wrong with the idea as it was back then.
Just a bunch of countries making trade easy. None of the free movement daftness.
I believe they may have mentioned how dreadful the Torys were.
Can't argue about Liz Truss, but Johnson was forcing through Brexit on the promise of regaining sovereignty and controlling borders. Yet he allowed 3.8 million immigrants in legally. Thus exacerbating the massive problems we have today. Not sure how anyone on the right wing of politics can forgive this.

And yet since free movement ended, here you RWRs are, moaning like feck about the low quality of dark skinned religious types, filling the vacuum left by abandoning free movement.

What’s daft about freedom of movement as an economic expression of the free market. She signed off the Single European Act in 1986 which had free movement at its core. She was much more the pragmatic politician than people give her credit for.

Can't disagree with the Blair thing, the gold thing was foolish in hindsight, but doesn't amount to a massive loss in the overall scheme of things. He was fairly fiscally responsible otherwise.
It could be argued that Thatcher and Blair combined were a losing combination. She sold off all the houses and infrastructure, and Blair brought lots of people in to compete for what little was left.
I believe Thatcher was a foolish ideologue, but Blair was a callous Machiavellian.
