Why are my lights flashing?

Just changed the bulbs/lamps in 3 downlighters in my living room. Bulbs are Halogen MR11 GU4 35watt.

The problem is after about 40 mins of being on normally, blubs flash all together constantly on/off.

I have no idea why this is any guesses?

These 230V or 12?

If 12, is the tranny overloaded?

12v. How would I tell if the transformer was overloaded?

You need to find the transformer, and see what is written on it.

Then add up the wattage of the lamps supplied by the tranny.

See if the lamps add up to more than the tranny is rated to.

You said you changed the lamps - what were the previous rlamps rated at?

Electronic transformers have an auto overload cut out which could be operating until transformer has cooled a little
