Why is it that some religions believe that Covid restrictions don’t apply to them?

That fact is, far more Christian, agnostic and atheist British have ignore warnings and helped spread the virus than all those funeral attenders combined - because the only way a virus such as this spreads is through human contact (air space included!).

In a few years time when the world assesses the damage, everybody will ask "why didn't the UK lockdown, and why didn't they let so many politicians and advisors announce it was nothing to worry about when people were dropping dead like flies all over the world". They'll ask that, those exact words!
 
I understand that in one London religious comminity that has been tested, two-thirds of the community have had Covid. This is nine times higher than the national average.

It is thought that social factors and unusually large family households may contribute.

For many people, especially in expensive places like London, still live in multi generation families (e.g. BAME) which is why they catch it so much - kids bring home and pass on to parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. Only relatively wealthy people can afford separate homes for each generation.
 
In this case "unusually large" really does mean what it says.
