WHY NEW PIPES?

I'm currently in the early stages of renovating a large old property consisting of 5 bedrooms ( one of which will be converted into a main family bathroom, the small original being turned into a shower room ). There is the world's oldest boiler c1982 in an outhouse which hasn't been used for 2/3 years as house has been empty. The house contains a mixture of old and newish radiators.
There appears to be enough copper piping installed to equip a Saudi Arabian oil refinery,
In the quotes I've received there appears to be a requirement to take out all the piping, and replace it with up to 125m of copper piping to service the Worcester 42cdi boiler.
As a layman, I can't inderstand why all the existing piping has to be taken out, though I can appreciate that the piping to the radiators may need to be increased in size.
Could some one enlighten me please

If the piping is usual 22 mm piping it is fine.
I would fire it up and see what happens most likely the central heating pump will need a spin to free it up or replace it.
An old cast iron boiler will most likely outlast the new one you would be putting in.

It could be if the house has very old piping and a single pipe system
then it is adviseable to install a two pipe flow and return system.

That sounds like someone talking up the job.

It might be worth asking someone else and perhaps paying for independent advice.
