Wife wants a higher car, how easy is it to make a Jag XE higher?

The drive is steep and flattens off at top over pavement so the Jazz is OK but the Jag if we take it to back of house grounds, it only just clears at front of house, an inch extra would make all the difference, can it be done?

I think you’d need bespoke longer front struts, Eric.....spring assisters are available for towing but can only be used on the rear - as far as I am aware.
Bigger diameter wheels would help but would upset other geometry, and gearing.

Longer springs or coil overs.

Air bag suspension would do it. You could raise the suspension for driving on and off the drive and then lower it back into its normal position for general driving.

However, i suspect you'd be better of just buying a new car....

Since car-options seem to be limited, can you chisel/grind/flatten that one inch off the offending lip ?

Speak to your insurer first if you seriously consider suspension mods.
As said, might be more feasible to modify the driveway !
