Wind power doing well

Sadly if this countries emmisions were total zero it would make no difference at all
If we were the ones ones doing it, but we aren't. The science behind the need for a reduction is pretty simple and we should do what we can, as many countries are doing.

I love the depth of your authority - all those decades of study and open-minded understanding - the firm foundations of your mathematical precision, the extent of peer reviewed research so elegantly summed up in your wise words and figures...
On the specifics i.e. what difference does 1 x average UK human make to the global climate either positively or negatively, no one needs anything mentioned by you. Yeah yeah there's a debate around 'ah but the more who do it ...' however when it comes to one person, their lifestyle in terms of using energy and resources means feck all, literally.

If you want to challenge my assertion, feel free.

Oh deary me you are another level of stupidity. Why were they having to use massive more amounts of gas than planned for which resulted in the gas shortage . Oh yeah there was zilch being

generated by wind
I think you will find wind never produces any gas.

I am sorry you think it does.

Well done wind

No 1 person can change it all

But if everybody does a little it makes a massive difference.

Just do a little

Just watching one of the dragons den team on Kunnsberk's programme. His argument is that if the UK goes further than other countries on green alternatives, it will make us less competitive due to higher energy costs. Not sure that's right because it encourages us to be less green than others, who then do the same, leading to a downward spiral in combatting climate change.

Not much sign that China or USA are following UK's good example, if such it be.

Pretty sure both have invested hugely in carbon free alternatives. We are not setting an example. we are doing our bit. Don't forget it's also about energy security, and self reliance.
