I have just bought a new wireless router, set up with a ethernet modem, I have put in my password and user name for my intrernet provider but when I try to get on the internet I can't. Could it be my antivirus software?

You might want to have a check on your ISP's web site.
They usually have a set up guide for connecting a router to their servers.
This should walk you through all of the required steps to enable connection.
Occasionally there are some settings that need changing in the router to enable connection to take place.
