Wiring a relay to protect a programmer help.

I believe a 3a fused spur supplies the wiring centre and then goes from the wiring centre to the tado receiver.

Before you fitted the Tado, what supplied the pump? turned it on etc?

Can I ask why? It was just replaced with an old potterton ep p2000 programmer or something like that.

If you put it in the airing cupboard then all the wiring from the previous programmer back to whatever supplies that will need isolating at the other/both end to make safe.

To be honest, I don't think I will move it. It should be ok where it is as long as I can use a relay next to the wiring centre.

That's OK as long as the permanent live to the relay "com" and the neutral to the pump comes from within the wiring center/airing cupboard.

Else you may be crossing from one circuit in the consumer unit to another and this may affect the RCD/RCBO etc. (depending on what your CU has).
