Wiring a relay to protect a programmer help.

If you put it in the airing cupboard then all the wiring from the previous programmer back to whatever supplies that will need isolating at the other/both end to make safe.

To be honest, I don't think I will move it. It should be ok where it is as long as I can use a relay next to the wiring centre.
 
That's OK as long as the permanent live to the relay "com" and the neutral to the pump comes from within the wiring center/airing cupboard.

Else you may be crossing from one circuit in the consumer unit to another and this may affect the RCD/RCBO etc. (depending on what your CU has).
