[Ignore following as Post now split into two posts >>> . As an FYI, it is sometimes better to start a new thread, a reason being is, not everyone reads how old a thread is].

Another Chinese thermostat - shudder.
And as before it is a pain to put on the wall as the black metal plate and white face plate never slots easily together.

Either way - at your risk....
Yes your current wiring looks to match 'Diagram 4'.
In your case Joining/switching 2 (Brown jumper) and 4 (Red) together fires the boiler.

So 2 (Brown Jumper cable) on old unit goes into 2 on your new unit
and
4 (Red) on old unit goes into 1 on your new unit.
(or vise versa as 1 and 2 on new unit can be swapped - I suggest above as your jumper cable is short).

I would cut the bare wire section of the red wire a little shorter so there is less bare wire protruding from the hole (minimises chance of it touching something else).

And this post is a perfect example of why it is against site rules to Hi-Jack posts, two completely different set ups, and you wonder why people get confused
