i am installing a new kitchen, as part of the project i want to wiring in appliances such as fridge/washing machine so that elec cable does not have to come through hole in work-top and plug into socket. i cannot add any spurs from sockets as they all seem to be a spur or poss off a radial circuit(?) how can i go about this, can i wire in a fused socket off the spur then wire in appliance to this, any other suggestions??

Have an electrician look at it, see what he says. It will be easier in the long run to have him do all the work - additions to fixed wiring in kitchens is notifiable to your local council under part p of the building regs.

Chances are, to do what you want, you will need a re-wire of that circuit.
