Added a couple of images. I havent been able to find any images of how my old switch was wired up so I wanted to ask for some advice on what to do. I want to replace it because as you can see the old one is pretty knackered, but all the new switches have the 2 vertically separated terminals.

In which case you seem to have a single red from a third cable which you have missed.

Mark the twin red wires before disconnection so that you do not get them muddled up.
