I need to replace the pump on my ancient worcester danesmoor (bentone burner) -I can't find any info on nozzles/pressure/co etc-does anyone have these settings please.
Boiler was installed late 80's.
I have a gauge/manifold and smoke pump, but will need to get hold of fga as well.
Thanks.

What output are you looking to achieve? What size nozzle is in the existing burner? Typically, these would operate at 125psi, and have a nozzle around 0.75 gall.

Best you can do is replace the pump and hope for the best. You don't
have a flue gas analyser to set the boiler up properly.

The settings will be on the burner/manufacturers instructions.

Thanks for the replies.
.75 in the burner at the moment-running at 100 psi.no smoke.
The manufacturers no longer list the settings-only a users manual.
This set up obviously works-I need about 50000 btu's-which presumably i have as the boiler can satisfy the demand,I can borrow a flue gas analyser, and would like to know what sort of CO % I should be lookng for.
Does a certain nozzles size at a given pressure equal output ?-but I guess the burner/boiler efficiency must be a part of the equation?

Your boiler is a 20/25, equivalent to 70-90,000. A 0.65 nozzle at 105psi will give you about 55,000 Bthu. If you look at a current standard efficiency boiler that you can find the settings for, you can transpose the settings to your boiler. Not exact, but passable. Scan something like the Mistral site, or Warmflow or Firebird. You should find something close.

Sorry Terry-link doesn't work for me-worcester don't seem to offer old installation manuals, just the user manuals. Thanks anyway.

Some figures for you?
Danesmoor 20/25 Kitchen, B11C Burner:
0.60/80deg EH nozzle, 130 psi pump pressure, 11.0 - 11.5% CO2, 20kW
0.75/80deg EH nozzle, 105 psi pump pressure, 11.5 - 12.0% CO2, 22.5kW
0.75/80deg EH nozzle, 130 psi pump pressure, 12.0 - 12.5% CO2, 25kW Maybe this helps you?
John :)

Thanks John-thats really helpful. The burner is an Electro oil Bentone AB ( as marked on the body of the burner)I can't find much info anywhere on this,so I can use your settings.cheers.

You're most welcome - from what I can see the same burner is used in all of the 20/25 Danesmoor derivatives.
John :)
