Hi People,

Please could somebody advise on if the hot water flow rate can be adjusted for a faster flow.

A friend who has the same bolier has a much better flow rate even though the house is bigger.

Somebody... has said that you can ajust the flow rate?

Heating is fine.

What is strange, the bathroom radiator gets warm when the hot water is running, seems a bit strange to me!

Sounds as though it is letting by on the diverter valve, if this model of Worcester has one, so all the heat isn't going to the hot tap water.

Thanks Dave,

If it has a diverter, does anyboday have a idea what they generallly look like, Bolier is roughly 10 years old (Worcester 28CDi

Many thanks in advance

Phill

There is a small black square plastic adjustment on the D/Valve. Its a pig to get to and you need a 7 or 8 mm spanner. Its basically like a paddle so only a quater turn will turn down then back up to full.

That is unless your inlet water supply is poo. Whats your cold tap like.

Thanks for replying,

The cold flow is very good, no probs, will now go on the hunt for the Valve!

Many thanks

Phill
Just passed my part "P"

Theres also a flow restrictor on the plate HE which may want removing if your pressure aint great and a filter which may be blocked.

Yes i did have to change a diverter today and was just as horrible as all the others ive done!

Found it in 2 mins!, Job done, much better flow rate, it was a 8mm.

Thnaks people, this site is greeeeeat!

Yeh but , no but....the diverter is still shot if the bathroom rad is heating up during a demand for hot water.

what about the silly little Pressure reducer they place on the inlet of the div valve, they block up real easy?

Ya mean that mesh filter thingy?

i just bin them...or if i'm been honest...find them in the bottom of the box after i have fit the new valve and think ....hmmmm...shall i remove said new valve to fit this essential item.

you know the answer to that
