Hi,

The Worcester Greenstar 12/22 Boiler at my mums house keeps going onto lockout and was wondering what are the reasons it may be doing this?

It seems to be a random event - sometimes going to lockout when the boiler is switched on, sometimes when it has been running for a while.

The boiler has recently been serviced

Any ideas? thanks

Was the oil filter cleaned or replaced?

How old is the boiler?

They are very unfriendly boilers, so the best thing to do is get Worcester to service them. Many independants will not do them, with good reason.

I believe this boiler is fitted with a Bentone STERLING Burner
likely cuplits are the Danfoss EBI Ignition transformer or the Solenoid Coil
why not get the service Engineer back (as only recently serviced)?

I wasnt aware Worcester made a 12/22 Greenstar oiler?

Assuming they do, it is unlikely to be using a Sterling burner, as they don't have enough fan pressure for condensers, hence their demise, sadly.

So why are they still fitting them on the heatslaves and the utility and the greenstars. Albeit only on certain outputs mainly 18/25

They fitted Riellos on the condensing combis that I've seen (and now avoid).
