Hello,
I have a Dekton Laurent kitchen worktop that was installed on my kitchen island just over a year ago. The hob is a bora that has been recessed into the worktop and is flush with the worktop. A crack has appeared from the top right corner of the hob to the edge. There has been nothing heavy placed on there and no obvious reason on my side for the crack to form.
Where do I stand with our kitchen installer? We have informed them of the issue 3 weeks ago and they are yet to get back to us despite chasing them. When I look on the Consentino website, I can see that there is a warranty to be registered within 6 months of your invoice, however our kitchen installers never told us that there is a warranty to register or gave us any additional paperwork on this.
Looking for some advise on the next steps. Replacing the worktop would cost thousands of pounds, and we already spent 40k on the kitchen installation.
Thanks

Your installer should have registered the warranty (25 years), as they failed to do that, the onus is on them to honour the warranty. You could try explaining this to Consentino, and see how they respond.
