Now I've been looking around but cannot seem to find an answer anywhere else.

"Should the height of your free-range cooker be higher or lower than your worktop or does it not matter?"

Is a free range cooker anything like a free range chicken?

If it is, then there's no saying how high it's going to be.

the top of the main part of the range should be level/a few mm higher with the worktop leaving the burners and pan rests raised above
