have a look in the cistern too.
could water from the gutters be getting into the soil pipe? it should be quite separate. these worms must be coming from somewhere damp, and not very clean.
Are there any unused drains or capped-off pipes going to the soil stack?
John I checked that early this morning... couldn't see a thing, but I still tipped half a bottle of domestos in it lol.
OOPs forgot... the gutters have mesh over them... Irish travelers....( cowboys) replaced neighbours gutters a couple of years ago, they didn't use a line so they don't meet properly... mine are dragged up to meet next doors, which means the birds live on my gutters getting a drink, the opening of the stink pipe is right by the very place, and I can't see any mesh over the pipe either. And the bloody birds have ripped the mesh of the gutter .
No unusual drains, and nothing capped off.
Think I'll go have a cry.
