Worst parcel delivery company.

All the fragile things I have sent by Royal Mail arrived unscathed.

None of the fragile things sent by anyone else survived.

I've seen them chucking parcels from conveyors into the back of vans or into Claretainers and chucking boxes over fences and gates.

They DGAF.

UPS in my book.
A few months ago my wife was waiting for a very fragile, very expensive, package to arrive from America. She was tracking it each step of the way until, finally, she got the message, "Your package will be delivered at 14.27."
Time comes and she hears her email ping. "Your package has been delivered safely. Handed to resident."
Err, no it wasn't! She goes to the front door. No sign of package.
Asks next door neighbour. No package.
Checks behind the bins. No Package.
Checks in a storage box. No Package.
Behind the shed. No package.
Tossed over back gate. No package.
IN the bins! No package.
By now I have arrived home from work and join the search, even checking all the places she has checked. She is now on the phone to UPS who tell her it has been successfully delivered and handed to the resident by the driver. My wife denies this and then asks to check it went to correct address. Yes, address is correct.
So I go knocking at other neighbours' houses with no success, until I turn down a cul-de-sac where there are only 4 houses. I thought, "In for a penny, in for a pound." First three houses didn't have it. Walked up the path of the fourth one and rang the bell. Dog barks like crazy but nobody home so I turned to walk away back home. There, sitting behind the gate, was our package! It had my wife name, our correct address and a contact number in case of difficulty. The house I found it at was;
Wrong house number. Wrong house name. Wrong road name. Wrong postcode address.
Phone UPS to complain and their reaction was, "Well I'm glad you got your package sir. I hope your wife will be pleased." Brrrrrrr........

My Herpes without a doubt. Ever tried ringing their customer service? Don't bother.

Evri followed by parcelfarce

I suppose it will vary by area and local staff, but here everything is delivered. One exception was DPD, when I was in and during the summer, an item I was desperately waiting for and rather than knocking - they had thrown it in the open back door.

With so much tech available, I don't understand why some companies tracking is so poor through their systems, especially the Post Office. All you tend to get is dispatched and delivered. I had a next day parcel force sent last Wednesday. All it got was a 'to be collected' on the Wednesday, then delivered on the Saturday with no warning. It was urgent, had I gone out, it needed my signature, and so would not have been redelivered possibly until 3 or 4 days later.

I had an exhaust system delivered by DX.....it was for a Toyota Rav 4 and cost nearly a grand, even though it was a pattern part.
It looked like the thing had been kicked from the midlands to here. Round pipes squashed nearly flat etc.

A fuming online shopper said her Evri parcel was stolen and sold at a car boot sale, as the delivery firm is hit with a string of complaints over missing and delayed packages.

@theMirror.co.uk

Changing the name of the company doesn't appear to have made a damn difference to the quality of their service.

Parcelforce because they won't leave anything without a signature

Royal Mail because of the strikes/delays down south

To be fair, I think it is pot luck. Some firms may be great for a while and then become pants.

Personally I am not a fan of Parcelforce/Royal Mail. In cases where a signature is required, RM won't leave the item with a neighbour, they will post a "you were out when we called card". I have to leave home late, get a bus 2 miles in the wrong direction, and then a bus back home before I can go to work.

If I were to place an order for a low value item, that required a signature, I would (knowingly) not do so if it was RM/Parcelforce delivering it.

Other firms will leave it with a neighbour. The RM guy knocks on you door- no answer, he can't be azzed to knock next door.

Hermes that have people delivering in their own cars don’t get paid much.

They get paid piece rate and it’s something like 45p a parcel.

I used to have a workshop next door to one - it was mostly women doing the deliveries, they would turn up after the school run, load up their cars and off they went.
