As the title says, I've mugged up on all my technical gumpf, so while I twiddle my thumbs as one of the mass unwashed (unemployed) I could do with a right riveting read to keep me out of the pub.

I've been reading Company of Liars set in medievel times , about half way through 500+ pages.

The worlds best selling book (never read it myself) should keep you out of the pub for a couple of weeks. I think its called the Bible.

Just finished reading Kipper's Big Red Ball with my son. Four pages long, three words on each page! Thought it was never gonna end! :D

it would help to know what kind of genre you prefer..

I myself liked the dark tower series.. by Stephen King..

it's kind of post apocalyptic western, with magic thrown in..

don't be put off by the first one, "The Gunslinger".. it's kind of western heavy..

oh and it's 7 books in total..

A couple of books that I recommend are..........

Hair problems by Dan Druff and Laying Bricks by C Ment.

Also........The Largest Bra In The World by Norma Stitz

Terry Pratchett, Discworld series are very good (the earlier books are better)

My own preference is Biography / Travel

Just read

Cider with Roadies - life in Wigan and beyond
Pies and Prejudice - Its grim oop north

Both By Stuart Maconie

Also
Notes from a small island
Notes from a big country

Bill Bryson
